A five-minute practice routine

A small routine is easier to repeat. Use five focused minutes to combine words, numbers and a realistic office task.

Begin with one minute of words

Choose a quiet moment and start a one-minute typing test. The countdown starts with the first accepted character. Keep your goal specific: finish words accurately and avoid rushing. A practice certificate records the achieved result; it is not a qualification or a hiring assessment.

Spend one minute with numbers

Switch to numeric practice and keep the same comfortable pace. Watch for omitted zeros and swapped digits. If you change from a laptop keyboard to a number pad, compare future results under the new settings rather than treating them as identical tests.

Finish with an office record

Use the remaining three minutes for a fictional office task. Keep the source visible, move with Tab or Enter, and check each field. Submit when ready; the time allocation is a limit, not a demand to wait. Review the differences before deciding what to practise tomorrow.

Build a useful record

Save your progress in this browser and export a backup occasionally. A streak counts local calendar dates with completed practice, not page visits. A missed day does not erase the work you already did. Look for consistency over several weeks without expecting a guaranteed skill level by a deadline.
